The Distributor Cap is for OMC Sterndrive/ Cobra sterndrive. Its function is to pass the voltage from the ignition coils to the engine's cylinders to ignite the fuel-air mixture inside and power the engine. The distributor cap and rotor work to ignite the fuel at the proper time. Inside the distributor cap, the rotor spins when the coil ignites. Watch out for symptoms that might be a problem and faulty in the distributor cap. Includes difficulty starting your car, shaking, stalling, and hearing a yelling noise.
