The Marine Power Pack is for Johnson/Evinrude outboard motors. This power pack is a central part of the ignition systems and supplies voltage to the ignition systems' power coils. This power pack coil will fit 1992 - 2005, 40 and 50-hp, 2-cylinder, and 2-stroke engines using a 3-wire trigger sensor and 6700 RPM Limiter. If your Johnson outboard is malfunctioning and deadening the power, it has a problem starting up. Check and test the power pack using the multimeter. This power pack has the S.L.O.W function that limits the RPM to 2500 RPM in case the engine is overheating.
